OxHead Tavern Fine Food & Spirits
Well, if you live in Boston, and have friends in Hartford, where do you get together for a bite? How about the OxHead Tavern. Took me almost exactly one hour to get to this rustic little tavern in Sturbridge. I have to say, the atmosphere was good. They had a raging fire to warm us up on this cold, rainy spring day. The interior had the feel of a 19th century abode. It was nice and cozy. Set right on a little lake, the view out the window was nice too.
I had ye “Old English Fish N’ Chips” The fish was great, the chips were so-so. Those on Atkins won’t want to waste their weekly potato rations on this dish. Overheard that the pickles were bland. What a shame, because a good pickle can make a Sunday.
