Today’s Media Bias
Anyone who watched both the testimony of Condoleezza Rice before the 9/11 commission AND Matt Lauer’ s interview with Bob Kerrey this morning on the Today show should no longer question whether or not there is media bias against the present administration. Unfortunately, there are far more people watching the Today show than those actually watching the hearings on c-span.
In case you missed it, Ms. Rice gave a brilliant rebuttel to Mr. Kerrey’s assertion that George W. Bush had not “swatted any flies” with regard to terrorism and, in particular, hadn’t responded to the bombing of the USS Cole. In her rebuttel, Ms. Rice cited Kerrey’s own speech against tit-for-tat responses to acts of terrorism. The red-faced Kerrey was dumb struck, saying something about the policy being different had he not given his speech, and then refferring to Ms. Rice as Ms. Clark. This was witnessed by me, and the other three Americans who watch c-span.
Enter Matt Lauer and Bob Kerrey on the Today show. They played the exchange minus Ms. Rice’s rebuttle. So everyone got to hear Bob Kerrey accusing the president of doing absolutely nothing about terrorism. Then Mr. Kerrey got to expound on his point, having been too flustered, the day before, by Ms. Rice’s response.
