President Speaks Tonight
I certainly hope the president has a stronger performance tonight than he did with Tim Russert on Meet the Press. You have to wonder about his choice of a live press conference as he does not do all that well live and off the cuff. I hope he has not misunderestimated how difficult the questions might be. One that comes to mind is “Mr. President, who are we going to turn the keys over to on June 30th?”
And, as if this press conference weren’t dangerous enough to Bush’s re-election prospects, sadly, there are many Americans who may not vote for Bush because he is pre-empting their American Idol time.
