Funny? Maybe.
One thing that really chaps my butt is when my email box gets filled with all kinds of garbage that people think I’d be interested in. Now, I don’t mind when a friend sends something that she specifically knows I will find interesting. I’m talkin’ about those emails with 50 people in the ‘To’ line, one of which happens to be me. Inevitably it’s some sort of chain survey, a cute story about footprints on a beach, pictures of kittens, or some false virus rumor. The point is I may, or may not want to look at this stuff, but it clogs up my inbox. As if normal spam were not enough, I get it from every aquaintance who has my email address. Now usually, I politely delete the message, but if it gets to be a problem, I’m forced to sound like some sort of jerk by asking whoever to STOP IT ALREADY. I’m so annoyed by this that my full address list of aquaintances misses out… because when I stumble across something that IS really funny… I don’t send it out. (Just
kidding… I certainly know that my brand of humor doesn’t play in all circles.) Anyway, now I have a passive delivery mechanism: this site. And the following link is pretty good stuff… I don’t care what you say.

Gary, Love the photos! I am with you on the chain emails too. From now on when I get one I will respond with a polite link to your editorial. That should get the point across. Thanks for the all the fun stuff.
