Ipod Review
Ok… it’s common knowledge that the Ipod is cool. People love it… and I love mine. I have my own personal soundtrack wherever I go. I walk everywhere and use it every day. I also use it on my long runs. Now that we have established that I really like my Ipod and would recommend it to anyone, let’s be picky and complain about it a little.
- The earbuds are not good. I currently use my Ipod with third party earplugs from Bang & Olufsen (which are fantastic.) The stock Ipod earbuds are blown. Every beat of bass sounds like a car crash. If you are an audiofile, budget for extra headphones.
- The touch buttons need work. These are very cool, n0-moving-part buttons that respond to human touch, but don’t respond to other things. If you have gloves on, they don’t work. They are also very sensitive, so sometimes you accidentally advance to the next song. Sometimes, they do not resond. They have a mind of their own sometimes.
- The battery indicator does not seem to be accurate all the time. Sometimes, after fully charging the battery, it shows less than full. Then later, it will show full.
- There is a very cool remote control on the headphone cord. I don’t use it, however, because it is way too long. I feel like inspector gadget with wires hanging all over me.
So there you have it. Not much to complain about. I recently had a major problem with my Ipod. It stopped working, and displayed a folder with an exclaimation point next to it. I took it to the Apple store. The hard drive had given out. Even though I was just out of warranty, they replaced it. I now have a brand new Ipod. Who could complain about that?
