Time for my $.02 worth. In a bipartisan system, a citizen is left with two options, good vs. evil (right vs. wrong). Each side will try to convince you why they are good and the other is evil. If you are for the Democrats, you are FOR killing babies. If you are for the Republicans, you are FOR killing Iraqis, our soldiers and perpetuating the cycle of war. What we fail to see is that the truth, as we all know, lies behind the rhetoric and faulty man-made constructs. It lies in the middle, where nobody seems to want to reside, because it is a place of eternal flip-flopping and doubt...or a place of extreme calm and serenity, depending on the individual's level of self-respect. And where's the fun (drama)in that, right? Before I start going on about Taoism and all of its appeals, I will stay on point. As long as we continue to allow our bipartisan monster with two heads to continue forming and gaining juggernautian power, there will be no end in sight to the binging and purging which is war then peace, bull then bear, wax then wane. And perhaps this is the true nature of the universe so I should just shut up, but if this world REALLY ever wants to start moving toward being a place of lasting peace, I think the place we need to start is our own minds. Stop being so sure that your beliefs are the right ones or that you know something the rest of us don't know. There are few people in this world who really know the "truth" and how humanity functions at the highest levels and I think that most people would have their realities tossed on their heads if they really knew how power, wealth and resources are EVERYTHING. I'll leave with two quotations from some of my heroes:

"I'm bored with the concepts of right and wrong, radio stations always play the same songs" -- Madonna

"It takes a second to wreck it, it takes time to build (you gots to chill)" -- the Beastie Boys

I assume you mean Iraqi death count? Or do you mean the number of people Sadaam killed in his day? Happy to post either or both here if you've got a link. Thanks for the comment.

I'm glad to see a slight bi-partisan comment, however, your true colors shine through. I'll keep waiting for your Sadaam death count -- I lost track at 300,000.
