Educational Bias
The more things change, the more things stay the same. There is plenty to get up tight about if you’ve got a child getting ready to go to college. (For me, it’s my little brother and sister) For one thing, why do tuition rates outpace inflation every year? (Since I graduated from college, tuition rates have gone up 39%).
Perhaps it’s partially due to the added expense involved in enforcing crazy university policies regarding diversity, free speech, and extracurricular groups. I can remember during my days at the University of Michigan, a group of students held a bake sale and priced each item according to a person’s race. This, obviously, was a way to highlight the inherent injustice of affirmative action. The bake sale was shut down by campus police. “Ummm, officer…. what about my right to fre… ”
That was 1988.
Looks like things like this are still going on today and there is a very entertaining documentary by academicbias.com on the subject which can be viewed online here. Move over Michael Moore.
Make your own movie and win an Apple G4.
There are some interesting tuition trend graphs dating from 1970 here.
We also learned at Michigan that black people cannot be racist.

Gary, Thanks for continuing to post intriging material on this site. The video “Brainwashing 101″ was amazing! I thought it was well done, but mostly astounded at the depth of the injustice that is taking place thoughout our universities. Keep up the good work.

INteresting post, Gary.
BTW, I came across your site via a post in the WordPress Support forums (http://wordpress.org/support/10/12320). I tested out sending a post to myself from your site and it seems to work. Do you know what was causing the problem you posted about (I’m experiencing the same thing)?
