Happy Columbus Day
Well, my boss didn’t get the memo that today is Columbus day. However, I think everyone else in Boston has the day off. The place is a ghost town. I should not be complaining as I do get a holiday of sorts. I did not have to jockey my car this morning in order to avoid getting a ticket for parking on street cleaning day. (Street cleaners are still sleeping I suppose). Also, I did not have to fight the rabble on the bus and subway and actually got to sit on the red line. There were very few folks going to work. Last, and probably least, the line at Starbucks was non-existant, with people, I imagine, getting their fix at home (and for far less money.)
Happy Columbus Day! Thank god the world is round and I can live in America.
