Sox Reverse Curse
The streets were quiet as I ventured out of the house around inning 6 in anticipation of Boston’s winning the World Series. I wanted to be in a public place to witness the reaction of the crowd.
After being turned away at one bar due to overcrowding, I found a confortable spot at the Copley Marriott to watch the final few innings.
The place erupted in cheers as Boston put an end to the 86 year dry spell that Boston fans have been complaining about for generations.
People spilled out onto the streets ripping their shirts off and screaming at the top of their lungs. There was a steady stream of people headed in the direction of Fenway park. I obliged numerous high-five seekers and witessed much horn honking. It was a great thing to see and be a part of.
