Public Access Channels of the Future

Check it out. A town in Austria has taken the Public Access Station into the new millennium.

An Austrian village is testing technology that could represent the future of television.

The people of Engerwitzdorf are filming, editing and producing their own regional news channel.

The channel covers local politics, sports, events and anything that residents want to film and are prepared to upload for others to watch on PCs.

The world seems to be becoming a place where people make their own newspapers (blogs), their own television (see above), and their own radio (podcasting).

Here is an example of an internet radio program. Careful… internet radio is not subject to FCC guidelines. (Isn’t that how cable got away with skinamax back in the day?) You also don’t hear thick Wis-caan-sin aaaccents like thaaaat on regular radio.

Is it any wonder that ad revenue online is surpassing traditional advertising revenue?
