Ticket Naivete
About two weeks ago I spotted Philly born and bred The Roots & Talib Kwali on upcoming.org coming to Avalon. Ticketmaster reported the show sold-out. I decided to go down to Lansdowne street and look into buying tickets one the street. I was prepared to pay double the ticket price. Silly white boy. Tickets were going for 5 or 6 times the original price. I interacted with several sweaty, pot-bellied, career Sox scalpers before establishing that the market value of one ticket was $150. A long line at the door confirmed the demand. Asked at the box office if there were any tickets left: “Uh…. no”.

Observation: Why does some delelict with last week’s hot-dog mustard on his shirt make $133 while Talib and the The Roots split $17 with Avalon.
Note to self: Afro wig made no noticable difference.
Insightful post from Mark Cuban on Mavs ticket scalpers.
