Boston Sees 12.3% Inflation
I was shocked and horrified on my weekly trip to Target this afternoon.
I don’t normally pay attention to the price of small everyday items but for some reason, the price of my favorite dental floss always stuck in my head. Probably because, unlike most other things in my life, the one I preferred happened to be the least expensive. In this case, 97 cents at Target. However, I was stunned to find out today that the price had skyrocketed to $1.09… a 12.3% increase. Now this may not seem like a lot of dough to be getting your floss in a bunch over, but now I’m wondering what else is more expensive. We all know that gas is more. It now cost me nearly $50 to fill up my little VW. (Abeit, those Germans demand that I fill with Premium.) But now it looks like we are seeing some secondary effects in the price of other things. I’m sure you need a little petroleum to make the plastic floss container. And the the floss truck is spending more to flossify Target Stores around the nation. Does it really cost 12.3% more. I think I’ll be needing a raise soon.
Unpaid Endorsement:
Oral-B EssentialFloss works very well and is still quite a bargain at $1.09.
